Welcome To The Black Boy

Situated in the heart of rural Darlington, 5 miles north of Stockton, this 16th Century pub is an Oasis of good food, fine wines and real ales.

Rachel and Bob Havings have turned the pub from a sleepy backwater to a destination food pub of note. Eat and or drink in the “No smoking” Restaurant, patio or spacious gardens, with spectacular views over the Vale of Darlington to Cleveland Hills and beyond.

Separate menus are used for lunch, dinner and Sundays and all are reviewed on a monthly basis. A daily specials and sweet board are also at hand.

Just wanted to send this quick note of thanks for being so hospitable to my wife and I. We only dropped in for a bite to eat on our way back home after visiting friends.

If we lived in the area this would, without doubt be our local! Bob & Rachel are so friendly and welcoming... and not to forget the stunning pub itself!
